FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN CAMPAK PADA BALITA DI KABUPATEN SERANG PADA TAHUN 1999 -2000

Environment Factor in connecction With Measles to Children Under Five Years Old in Serang regency, Year 1999-2000

Abstract

The health  of people  who live in rural  area in  Indonesia   within  he ast five years  ( 1994-1998) showing  that infection  desease. and the household   persentage  which  have floor space 20 - 49 m2 and the height  is 40, 1 % as a cause of mortality  (propil Kesehatan,   1999). The  aim of this  study  to know  the relation  bertween  the settlementfactor    and  measles  and children  under  five years.  The design   is case  control.  Case is children  (15 - 59 month)  with measles   clinically    symptoms   (fever  and  rash)  the diagnosed   by clinic  official.   Control   is neighbourhood   that never  been infected  till  this time based on clinic   data and the result fron interview    with   parents  by questioner.  The  result showing   that from  300 mothers  who have children  under five years at Serang regency only  have low education   (8 I ,3%)  and mother who have  low  income   (under  Rp.  750.000,-    each  month)  are 48,67%.   Settlement   is  related   to measles  occur (population   density with Odd's  Ratio  1,44; ventilation  Odd's Ratio  1,21   and the celling'  with Odd's Ratio  1,32).  While  based  on children  under  five years researsch  at South Jakarta  in 1996  explain  settlement   relate to measles case (population   density  with  Odd's Ratio 2,95  and ventilation   with Odd's  Ratio 2,90)  (Purnorno,  H.,   1996). This    study   expected  can   improve   healthy   Jiving    by  increasing    realization      of  PKM (Pemeliharanaan   Kesehatan  Masyarakat)  by giving   information  at Posyandu.
